One of our favorite questions to ask clients during the design process is: “Do you have any keepers?”

Whether it’s a dining set passed down through family or a sideboard that’s seen years of hosting, these pieces often hold meaning—and we love giving them new life in a way that feels fresh and personal.

For this dining room, our client had a set of classic chairs that were the perfect candidates for a refresh. We reupholstered them @scalamandre stunning Annelise Embroidery, and the result is such a beautiful blend of craftsmanship, texture, and story.

They now feel right at home in the new design—refreshed, refined, and still just as special.

Spring is always the perfect time for a home refresh! Every year, I love making a few simple changes to bring in a lighter, brighter feel. Here are some of my favorite ways to refresh a space for the season:

1. Swap Out Textiles – I switch out heavy winter throws and dark pillows for soft linen and cotton blends in light, airy hues. Instantly, the whole space feels fresher! This year I’ve loved seeing lots of fun block prints on linen textiles, in curtains, pillows, and bedding!

2. Bring in Fresh Greenery & Florals – Nothing says spring like fresh flowers and greenery. Whether it’s a vase of tulips on the kitchen counter or potted herbs in the window, natural elements make a home feel alive. I often keep a vase of fresh flowers on my kitchen island for a wonderful happy greeting as I enter! (hydrangeas are my favorite!)

3. Update Accessories – Small swaps, like woven baskets, light ceramic pieces, and seasonal decor, go a long way in shifting the look and feel of a space. Each year at Easter, I bring out the pink table runner and add a few bunnies here and there, just for fun!

4. Rearrange Furniture – Even moving a chair or side table can give a room new energy. I love shifting pieces around to improve flow and make a space feel refreshed.

5. Add a Spring Color Accent – Whether it’s a fresh coat of paint, a new rug, or a patterned pillow, subtle pops of color bring personality and warmth. Right now, I’m loving warm white paired with a fresh green for spring—it feels so happy and timeless!

1. Swap Out Textiles – I switch out heavy winter throws and dark pillows for soft linen and cotton blends in light, airy hues. Instantly, the whole space feels fresher! This year I’ve loved seeing lots of fun block prints on linen textiles, in curtains, pillows, and bedding!

2. Bring in Fresh Greenery & Florals – Nothing says spring like fresh flowers and greenery. Whether it’s a vase of tulips on the kitchen counter or potted herbs in the window, natural elements make a home feel alive. I often keep a vase of fresh flowers on my kitchen island for a wonderful happy greeting as I enter! (hydrangeas are my favorite!)

3. Update Accessories – Small swaps, like woven baskets, light ceramic pieces, and seasonal decor, go a long way in shifting the look and feel of a space. Each year at Easter, I bring out the pink table runner and add a few bunnies here and there, just for fun!

4. Rearrange Furniture – Even moving a chair or side table can give a room new energy. I love shifting pieces around to improve flow and make a space feel refreshed.

5. Add a Spring Color Accent – Whether it’s a fresh coat of paint, a new rug, or a patterned pillow, subtle pops of color bring personality and warmth. Right now, I’m loving warm white paired with a fresh green for spring—it feels so happy and timeless!

Seeing the incredible work of Allen LeQuire— the sculptor behind Nashville’s iconic Athena statue at the Parthenon and the Musica statues at Music Row. He’s now working on a stunning series honoring Tennessee women, soon to be displayed in the Parthenon!

Also had the chance to attend an open house at @thelotshowroom complete with a visit to LeQuire’s art studio @lequiregallery – such an inspiring space! 🎨

We added architectural detail by installing board & batten to the walls, then paired a charming navy wallpaper with a striking green paint, and we are in love with the result!
